Practice Listening to Nature

Writer: Lila LollingLila Lolling

The next time you step outside, take a moment to witness nature.

Greet Her with your heart, knowing She is imbued with divinity.

Feel the warmth of Her sun, the temperature of Her air.

Smell Her earth and plants, acknowledge the diversity of species; including humans.

Oh how magnificent is She!

Nature is the nourisher, the provider, the giver of life.

She removes our pains and ceaselessly forgives our actions.

She is the keeper of Truths, the expression of love.

She is the doer, the actor, the animator.

She is the compassionate One.

She is your essence.

She is the varying frequencies of life that create an apparent physical world.

She is the teacher, the parent, the caregiver.

She contains all of life - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful.

Nature is you.

She is not separate from you.

You are Her.

She is you.

You are One.

The next time you step outside, the very next time, take a moment to just stand there - witnessing and connecting to the nature that surrounds you. Consider that what you are witnessing is a part of you. A living, breathing part of you that is infused with divinity. Nature is alive, awake, and attentive to your presence. She is made up of the five elements, just like you. She is consciousness in action. Take a few connecting breaths reminding yourself that what you see is a sacred reflection of your being.

How are you recognizing and responding to Nature?

How is She recognizing and responding to you?
