I've been doing yoga right before pranayama practice but sometimes my day can be a bit convoluted and I would like to do my yoga practice earlier but don't have the time or is not in the right time frame for adding in the pranayama practice. Is it suggested that yoga should be done right before or is it okay if I do it in the AM and then pranayama practice later in the afternoon? Want to make sure I have no kinky nadis!!

HAHA! Love that "kinky nadis!" lol
Ok to answer your question, yes you can practice asana in the morning and pranayama in the afternoon. No problem at all. Truly, in these chaotic and busy times, any sadhana (spiritual practice) that you do is so very beneficial. It doesn't matter where, when, or how you fit it in...but a matter that you do! :)
And as you know, I love to honor and keep the classics when possible, especially when passing them down to other instructors :D
