This annual, and quite popular, yoga retreat for ASL interpreters is finally back! :)
Join Lila Lolling for 4 days dedicated to your personal and professional development. During this yoga-based interperter retreat, there are two goals; (1) relax & restore your nervous system and (2) learn how to interpret yoga and its practices.
You will explore the nuances of interpreting yoga classes, workshops, and teacher trainings and also participate in two virtual vocabulary sessions with Deaf Yoga instructors Beatrice & Keri. You will leave with tools to confidently interpret yoga classes as well as information on how to increase your overall mental vitality and restore your nervous system.
In order to maintain safety during these uncertain times, this year we decided to reduce our group size, accepting only 10 interperters. As of 01/07/2022, there are only 1 space available.
This year's retreat is hosted at the custom and quaint Streamside Retreat Center in Andes New York, located in the beautiful western Catskill Mountains. There is a small bubbling stream just behind the retreat center, and our main yoga space overlooks a Hemlock forest. The fresh mountain air will help you feel rejuvenated and refreshed. Walking/Hiking trailheads are just a short two block walk.
This retreat is for you if:
- you are in need of restoration from a hard couple of years
- you are curious how to interpret yoga classes, workshops, and trainings
- you love yoga and want to learn how to use it to decompress and process vicarious trauma
- you love yoga and you love sign language
